Taking On More Than I Can Handle Properly

Like so many others in world, it appears that I have taken on more than I can handle properly. That doesn’t mean that I’m going to cut back anywhere, though. It just means that I have to buckle down and prioritize and, yes, work harder.

It has been a couple of weeks since I actually posted a video on the Ellis Family Farm channel. I have lots of video projects in editing, but I’m way behind on posting. This is unfortunate as I stated publicly that I am officially changing the name of the channel to Grandma’s Homestead. As excited as I am about that, I still have a couple more things to do to actually get that accomplished. I’ll keep you posted.

I hate to even think about the last four weeks of blog posts that I just didn’t get to. The first week I missed was because I was in Tennessee. I thought I could make it up during the week, but there is a reason that I write my blog posts on Sunday. I am less busy with other things and I can actually sit down and get it done, usually.

I also kept thinking that I could keep track of what I had done each week and do separate post for each week…and that just fell apart before I could even get started. So, let’s just start all over and do the best we can for now.

I love being a part of the Fireside Freedom podcast on Tuesday evenings. We get into some interesting discussions and I find myself taking notes of things I’m learning from the others on this podcast. The participants change each week and that also makes for varied conversations. The Fireside Freedom podcast can be found on all the places you find podcasts, including the Fountain network so you can earn satoshis while listening. This is the link to their YouTube channel if you prefer to see the people that are speaking.

A few weeks ago, I decided to start my own podcast. Out of the blue, while doing morning chores, the decision was made to create the podcast, This Grandma’s Life where I talk about what’s been on my mind, what I have been reading and then round it all out with a story here and there from some part of my life. It could be from childhood, my time in Alaska, Texas, California or here at home on my farm in NE Oklahoma. In other words, I’ve been around a little and I have lots of stories in my sixty years here on earth. I’m still working on how to get it out on the podcast airwaves but I can be found on YouTube also at This Grandma’s Life Podcast channel. Sometimes, I can even be found there live!

I have finally started working on dismantling the bathroom in order to remodel it. I am such a novice at this and I seem to be learning something every day that I work on this. Frankly, it’s intimidating. But, I’m going to keep pushing on with it so that I can work toward my dream of building the house I really want. Whew! What a goal! Even if I never get that far, I will know that I did my best to get there. Maybe you’ll come along with me on the ride. I certainly hope so!
