Luscious Lemon Bars

2 1/4 Cups of flour, divided

2 Cups Sugar, divided

1 Cup (two sticks) of butter, softened

4 Eggs

2 Lemons, juiced or 1/2 cup of Real Lemon juice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 X 13 pan

Crust:

Combine 2 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, and the softened butter. Sift the mixture between your fingers or with a pastry cutter until well combined and the butter is in very small pieces.

Press mixture into the baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes.

Filling:

Combine 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 1/4 cup of flour, 4 eggs, and the lemon juice. Whisk until well blended.

Pour over baked crust and return to oven for 20 more minutes. When cooled, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
